This site saw the light of day in late 1997. It began, not as a whim, but rather as an experimental venture, as we had no idea how it might be received.

The first biographies consisted of those from a few willing friends. It was not long before email and snail inquiries brought a host of former members to the site.

Over the years, the site has grown and grown. One military website has referred to us as "endless."

For some years now, an effort has been made to have a photo update at least once a week, mainly for the benefit of frequent visitors. In the future, these updates will become less frequent. There is already a wealth of material, and little will be gained by adding more and more.
Two items should be mentioned:
1. The site will not disappear. It will remain here or some other location for the foreseeable future.
2. We will attempt to keep up with important updates, such as email and address changes.
